Il grande Jeff Milligan spiega per noi il sistema Serato-Ableton, seguono sei minuti della dimostrazione di mixing a 4 giradischi con questa piattaforma hardware-software.
Ringrazio davvero molto Jeff per essere stato tanto gentile e paziente, nonostante i tempi ristretti che aveva.

Alla fine sembra che 4 deck ti servano se fai musica minimal o simili cosi vuota che se metti 4 pezzi con i suoni giusti a tempo sembra quasi una canzone decente, non capisco poi il senso di usare i timecode vinyl se non si fa Scratch.
Il DJset del video sopra con Enferno per me ha senso ma questo fa più che altro solo scena, con una Hercules MK2 e un mapper ad hoc per Traktor PRO 4 Deck si fanno le stesse cose del tipo nel video.

Sono le stesse considerazioni che ho fatto chattando con Cybermix.

Davvero tutto molto bello , performante sfizioso....ma tutto paurosamente caro e che tra l'altro è fattibile con altri hardware/software che costano decine di volte in meno (in totale).

il senso di usare dei timecode è che hai il feeling del vinile; un DIJ cresciuto dalla vecchia scuola apprezza questo contatto, questa manovrabilità... poi è ovvio eh, ognuno fa come meglio crede; però evidentemente se ci sono così tanti djs che utilizzano software controllati da timecode, un senso dovrà pur esserci, o no?

condivido al 100% sia cio' che dice Cioce che cio' che afferma Puz , ma evitiamo di parlare del TimeCode per cortesia...altrimenti si finisce OW (OFF WORLD ).

Si potrebbe disquisire fino alla morte su quanto sia utile (o unitile) un setup cosi' poco trasportabile e sopratutto poco acquistabile come quello del video in questione....ma magari apro un nuovo topic e ne parliamo la'
