Come da articolo in home page è disponibile l'aggiornamento gratuito a Torq 1.5.1, update davvero massiccio, tanto che richiede l'installazione da zero disinstallando la versione 1.5.

Fixes and Enhacements:

- Snapshots created in Torq 1.0.7 now load properly in Torq 1.5.1.*
- There is now an option in the Behaviors Preferences for enabling and disabling the Track Load Warning messages.
- Speed Slider Range can now be set to 4%.
- The Speed Slider Range is now remembered when quitting and relaunching Torq.
- It is now possible to sort playlists by clicking on the various categories in the File List (i.e. sort by BPM or Artist). Click RESET to return the playlist to its original order.
- Resizing columns in the File List no longer causes the remaining columns to change size. A horizontal scroll bar will now appear if the columns are stretched beyond the width of the File List window.
- You can now specify the target dB for the Auto-Gain feature using the drop-down menu in the Audio Preferences.
- Instant Doubles now copies the Gain setting.
- Dragging a song from a Deck onto the Overview waveform of the opposite Deck no longer causes the song to start from the beginning.
- (Mac only) When dragging a song from one deck to another for Instant Doubles, the song name is no longer hidden behind the Scrolling Waveform.
- The Cue button now works under External Control.
- Switching to Absolute Mode while a Loop is active no longer causes Torq to ignore the Loop Out marker.
- Fixed an issue with the Cue Exclusivity preference.
- MIDI Learn now works for the MIDI I/O button (for transmitting MIDI Start and MIDI Stop to external devices).
- The Schaffel Mode button now retains its state when quitting and relaunching Torq.
- You can now manually enter a Global Tempo by holding SHIFT and double-clicking on the Global Tempo display.
- The Double/Halve button will no longer function until analysis of a song is completed.
- The Save feature now remembers the last directory used.
- If you select a song in the File List while using Max Browser view, that song will remain visible in the File List after exiting Max Browser view.
- The sort state for the File List is now remembered when you change sources in the Browser.
- Full VST 2.4 support on Mac.
- The level meters not longer stick in certain Effect signal path is clipped.

Alternate iTunes Library Location:

It is now possible to specify the location of an iTunes Library, including a library stored on external drive:

1. Open Torq’s Preferences and click on the Plug-In Tab. You will see a new pair of menu items for setting the Custom iTunes Library Directory as well as a “Yes/No” option for enabling use of the alternate library.
2. Click on the path and a dialog box will open.
3. Navigate to the location of your desired iTunes Library and click the “iTunes Library.xml” file located there. Click OK.
4. Torq will now show the new path in the Preferences and will set the Custom iTunes Library Directory to “Yes”.
5. Close the Preferences and quit Torq.
6. Relaunch Torq and your alternate iTunes Library will be loaded.

NOTE: When iTunes creates a library at the default location on the internal hard drive, it creates a file called “iTunes Music Library.xml”. But when iTunes creates a library at an alternate location, the file is simply called “iTunes Library.xml”. Therefore, if you simply move your library from its default location to another location (such as an external hard drive), the XML file will have the wrong name. You will need to load that library once in iTunes by holding Option on Mac or Shift on PC while launching iTunes, then select the new library. Once iTunes loads the library, it will create a new “iTunes Library.xml” file which can then be used by Torq.

MIDI Stop:

There was an omission from the Torq 1.5 manual. While the manual does explain that clicking the MIDI I/O button in the Toolbar will transmit a MIDI Start, it failed to mention that holding SHIFT while clicking the MIDI I/O button will transmit a MIDI Stop.

Clearing Tempo Anchors:

There was a discrepancy in the Torq 1.5 manual. The manual mistakenly stated that if you hold SHIFT and click the BPM display on a Deck, the tempo would revert to the original and all Tempo Anchors would be cleared. To properly clear all Tempo Anchors from a song, hold SHIFT and double-click the BPM display, then press Delete to clear the BPM. You will then be prompted if you wish to clear all the Tempo Anchors. Click “Yes” to continue.

*Phantom Snapshot:

Mac users may find that, after installing Torq 1.5.1, there is an “extra” Snapshot in their Snapshot list. This Snapshot has no function and can be deleted.

ciao volevo chiederti se il torq 1.5.1 puo' funzionare al meglio anche con xp sp2, dato che se inserisco sp3 sul portatile mi si blocca il bios, e devo riformattare...
l'1.5.1 ti si e' bloccato mai? a me con i vinili codec le tracce saltavano quasi tutte rendendo impossibile il mix, e sono dovuto tornare al 1.07 ...invece una serata precedente con xponent tutto ok...

Sinceramente non ti saprei dire con precisione. Io utilizzo piattaforma mac, quindi riguardo windows non sono molto informato, poi riguardo la versione 1.5.1 ancora non l'ho provata per motivi di comodità e sicurezza dato che le serate sono immediate e non ho tempo per provarla.

Ancora devo provarlo a fondo torq 1.5.1 Penso che sia molto intuitivo come settaggio, e non ci sia bisogno di tante modifiche. Una volta attaccata xponent di solito funziona tutto al meglio ^.^

dopo molti tentativi mi sono arreso e quindi vi chiedo se c'è qualcuno che sa se esiste un modo, un tasto, insomma qualche cosa per stoppare lentamente una canzone, tipo un vinile su un sl 1200, cioè sentendo tutto l'effetto.. non so se mi sono spiegato..

intendi come quando spegni un 1200 dalla rotellina e il disco rallenta fino a stopparsi?
se intendi quello dovrebbe essere un effetto del software e, visto che l'esperto di torq è il nostro Sir darietto aspetterei una sua dritta

almeno nel visualdiscomix è strutturato per funzionare in quel modo, spingi il tasto switch e il software fa lo stesso di un giradischi, ma credo che sia una funzione presente più o meno su tutti, o quasi, i software

Qualcuno lo chiama Brake, qualcuno switch off, ha vari nomi prova i vari essetti di torq lo trovi sicuramente...

Nel caso tu usassi torq, c'è un'effetto fatto apposta nel quale puoi controllare perfettamente il rallentamento in modo preciso della traccia fino al così detto "spegnimento". L'effetto come ha detto Ru.Di si chiama brake, basta impostarlo, il resto è molto intuitivo.

Si uso torq.. avevo notato "brake" ma non sono riuscito... adesso ci riprovo e poi vi faccio sapere!!!
