Ciao a tutti,
l'altro giorno stavo parlando con un collega dj che fa revival come me da ormai una ventina di anni circa l'evoluzione del nostro repertorio.

Negli ultimi 20 anni, appunto, si è sempre proposto in discoteca e nei discobar prima il revival anni '70-'80 e poi è arrivato (ma secondo me non ancora totalmente esploso) il revival degli anni '90.
Lasciamo da parte le varie sfaccettature, ovvero le playlist diverse da quelle piu' pop-oriented, a quelle discomusic/italodisco, a quelle rock fino ad arrivare ahimè all'happy music che a parer mio ha un po' rovinato l'ambiente facendo ridurre in maniera considerevole i brani "ricorrenti" in playlist.

Ma la domanda che ci siamo fatti entrambi è stata questa: mentre degli anni '70 c'e' un suono ben definito (della disco), degli anni '80 pure (un synth riconoscibilissimo), dei '90's anche (l'eurodance è inconfondibile)...qual è il suono degli anni 2000?

E soprattutto...secondo voi esisterà prima o poi un concetto o un'idea di serata di "revival anni zero" come c'e' ora di quella '70-'80-'90?
I brani che sono adesso considerabili "ricorrenti" anche nelle playlist delle mainroom....diventeranno revival secondo voi o rimarranno ben pochi titoli dei primi anni del 2000?

Secondo me hai un po' semplificato il tutto ma comunque il 2000 è già revival...i decenni comunque contengono varie "ere".
Proprio ieri stavo pensando di fare più playlist per 70-80-90-2000

Ah si? Sinceramente non ho mai sentito da nessuna parte pubblicizzare serate o eventi dicendo "nella seconda sala revival anni duemila".

PErchè molto probabilmente è incoroprato "mentalmente" nella anni 90 disco music..

PEr me la canzone degli ALCAZAR - Crying at the discoteque oppure i successi dei PLANET FUNK, per essendo esplosi ben dopo il 2000 vengono contestualizzati in serate revival anni 90....
Diciamo pure che la sonorità a cavallo del 2000 seppur diversa è inseribile in quella degli ultimi anni del decennio e quindi una canzone con sonorità tipica del 2000 non è poi troppo diversa da una canzone "tipo" del 1999...

Spero di aver reso bene l'idea....

Per alcuni di noi i pezzi dell'estate scorsa sono già revival...alzi la mano chi non la pensa così!

Non vorrei recitare la parte dello "schematico" di turno, ma io gli anni '90 li dividerei così:
1990-1992: da una parte esplosione a livello mainstream della techno/zanzarismo, dall'altra suoni house molto simili a quelli della fine degli anni '80 (stile Inner City per intenderci)
1993-1995: Eurodance. Periodo ben definito e marcato, con suoni anche fino a 150bpm, sonorità allegre, cassa riconoscibilissima
1996: Progressive / Dream: un anno decisamente a parte nell'ambito della dance anni '90. L'esplosione della mediterranean progressive, un successo enorme all'epoca, di cui a parte gli episodi di Robert Miles purtroppo non rimane o non è quasi piu' proposto nulla
1997-2000>ed oltre: cassa più lenta ed istituzionale, 130bpm fissa. Da Neja e Nina in poi, non rilevo particolari episodi "originali" in ambito mainstream, se si eccettuano rari casi tipo Daft Punk e Planet Funk.

Non confondiamo il revival con il ricorrente.

Normalmente le playlist radiofoniche (e in taluni casi anche dei dj's pop/mainstream) sono così divise:
A)ALTA ROTAZIONE
B)MEDIA ROTAZIONE
C)BASSA ROTAZIONE / EMERGENTI / PROPOSITIVA

G)GOLDIES (da 5 anni fa a indietro)
R)RICORRENTI (da 6 mesi fa a 5 anni fa)

Quello che dici tu si chiama RICORRENTE
