Come si vede dallo styling e dalle caratteristiche tecniche, questo sub controller (è un controller aggiuntivo già mappato per i controller nativi di serato dj) permette di aggiungere le funzionalità di Serato DJ, così da essere utilizzate con estrema semplicità, anche sui controlli "ITCH based" che non avevano tutti i pulsanti previsti da DJ

Inoltre, vista l'uscita di Serato DJ 1.5.0 e la futura uscita della release 1.6.0, permetterà a tutti gli utilizzatori del DVS di usufruire in modo immediato delle funzioni di DJ.

Design aims
Recent years, the needs in the DJ/club market for arranging music by using various devices such as effectors and samplers, etc. is increasing.
Pioneer is now set to launch the “DDJ-SP1” DJ controller, which is designed for Serato Inc.’s “Serato DJ” software and is the industry’s first add-on DJ controller.
DJs simply add the DDJ-SP1 to a set up that supports mixing and scratching with Serato DJ, for example a laptop, CDJ/turntables and DJM-900SRT mixer or DDJ-S1 controller, and inspire their performance with the dynamic Performance Pads. This slim and compact controller is a perfectly portable addition to any DJ booth.
The DDJ-SP1 comes with a voucher for a free download of the Serato Video plug-in.

1) Pre-mapped buttons, dials, pads, and fader for dynamic performance with Serato DJ

The DDJ-SP1 is equipped with pads, faders, dial and buttons specifically designed for controlling all Serato DJ’s features. The DDJ-SP1 inherits the familiar layout from Pioneer’s popular controller range, with a few updates to make the DJing experience even more enjoyable.



①”PERFORMANCE PADS” to enhance performance features for truly hands-on live performances
Sixteen rubber Performance Pads are assigned to seven modes: Hot Cue, Roll, Sample, Slicer, Auto Loop, Hot Loop and Manual Loop. The LED illuminated pads’ Velocity Mode lets DJs control the sample volume with the amount of pressure they apply. LED illumination on reach pad gives DJs an instant visual reference for the state of play.

② “SAMPLER VOLUME FADER” enables effective finger drum performance
Sampler volume can be controlled intuitively in finger drum performances by “SAMPLER VOLUME FADER” just next to the “PERFORMANCE PADS”.
③ “SLIP MODE” enables music arrangement without affecting development of sound sources
Slip mode silently continues track playback during a loop, reverse or scratch and brings the music back at the right point when the DJ exits the performance. Plus, precision loops, scratches and reverses are made easy by Slip Mode by connecting a CD Player or DJ controller.
④ “FX KNOB/BUTTON” controls iZotope Inc. effects featured in “Serato DJ”
The DDJ-SP1 has knobs and buttons in the same layout as “Serato DJ” for operation of iZotope Inc. effects, providing more intuitive effect controls.

2) Professional build quality and ultimate portability

The compact, slim DDJ-SP1 was built with portability and professional use in mind. The rubber pads and buttons are robust and durable, while the aluminum top plate gives the controller a premium look that will look good in any set-up.

3) Free download of the “Serato Video” plug-in for sound and image control

A voucher for a free download of the “Serato Video” video control plug-in, which works with Serato Inc.’s DJ software (“Serato DJ”, “Scratch Live”, “ITCH”) is included in DDJ-SP1. It makes it easy to insert various video mixes, effects and image files, etc. synced to music.

Sasa questo controller è l' equivalente dell' x1 per traktor, il motivo di questo lancio è riconducibile all' uscita del mixer DJM 900 SRT che è un mixer certificato per serato dj, che abbinato a questo e a 2 o più cdj/giradischi ti offre un controllo completo per serato dj.

il novation twitch fa più o meno le stesse cose però
1) non ha bisogno di un'altro controller o mixer certificato a cui affiancarsi
2) ha la sua scheda audio
3) è un controller completo di pulsanti per transport e mixer
4) non è Pioneer
5) COSTA MENO

Per chi utilizzi i CDJ connessi in MIDI/HID,questo oggetto dovrebbe offrire il servizio dei pad che si troverebbero di base in un DDJ-SX. ...comunque...come al solito,una nota di demerito! Questo prodotto ha un'ergonomia pari a zero,in quanto ci sono dei comandi ripresi dal DDJ-SX,ossia,i pad da sotto le jog e gli effetti dalla parte superiore...tutto mischiato in un rettangolo unico! Fossero stati due controller separati,sarebbe stato un capolavoro,perchè sarabbe bastato metterli a fianco di ciascun CDJ,mentre in questo diventano difficili da piazzare! ...o si acquista un cavalletto per posizionarlo come un RMX-1000,oppure di fianco ad un CDJ,ma diventerebbe molto dispersivo! ...ed infine c'è solo il fascino Pioneer,perchè oggettivamente basterebbe collegare due Akai-LPD8 ai lati di due CDJ e mapparli allo stesso modo di questo attrezzo!

non sò voi ma io trovo veramente troppi 400 euro per questo aggeggio, con quei soldi ti fai giusto giusto 2 controller x1 (vecchia o nuova versione) che sono sicuramente molto più ergonomici e completi tanto che molti suonano soltanto con quelli, con questo al massimo ci fai una routine ma una serata come controller principale non riesci a farcela!
